Some insane gusts of wind coming through on the squally front right now, some of the nearby wunderground stations are showing gusts of 45+ mph! o_O Not surprising given how much the house is creaking.

Probably these have been the strongest gusts of wind here in Coventry during all this sh** season. Popped in hear to check if this was a named storm, but no mention of it? Has this just come about out of nowhere?

It has been very windy last few days gales last evening.

And this morning in a prolonged heavy snow shower giving a covering march 12th.

Best Rainbow I've seen for a long time here.

Rather more rain than I'd hoped for today. Largely just nuisance value, but one fairly heavy shower in early afternoon. It would be pushing it to call it "mostly dry" except in the strict "raining less than half the time" sense. However, in mid-afternoon when the sun finally did come out and stay out, it felt distinctly springlike. 11.6 °C is enough with the sun as strong as it's now becoming.

Second successive unpleasant day here. At least it didn't rain all the time as it did on Wednesday, but there was only the very occasional flash of sunshine. I did get out for a walk in the late afternoon and the air did at least feel fresh. Not sure whether that's purely weather-related or because of the far lower amount of traffic.

The forecast does at least portend an improvement from tomorrow, and more especially on Saturday. Even if many of us are largely confined to barracks now apart from those walks, a bit of sunshine certainly wouldn't go amiss!

A vast improvement today. It wasn't amazing, even for March, but the rain finally went away and there were even some decent spells of sunshine. A fresher wind than yesterday so feeling fairly chilly, but the fresh, clean feel to the air is still there. Max today 9.7 °C, though that was fairly academic due to the wind. The forecast for the next few days doesn't look bad at all -- more walks in the offing, I think!

Perfect Spring weather today with a high of 13C, could push 16C tomorrow or Wednesday. Just what's needed in these times.

Maximum today (so far) of 16.1 °C! That's the first time we've breached 15 °C (and 60 °F) this year. Quite an impressive diurnal range too, as the minimum last night was bang on freezing. A bit more breeze than yesterday so not really feeling any warmer in the back garden, but still very pleasant to be out with almost unbroken sunshine.

Another beautiful day -- 12.0 °C and climbing steadily after a min of 1.0 °C last night. Unbroken sunshine and slightly lighter winds than yesterday so feeling glorious in the garden.

Looks like another day or two of this and then all change at the weekend to more like 7 °C and mostly cloudy. MetO regional text forecast gives this: "Turning even colder Sunday, in a brisk northeasterly wind." Brr!

7 days now with unbroken sunshine. Hoping the 12z 10day+ charts are correct.

Not too bad today, bit more cloud than I would have liked around midday. Topped at 14C. Next 6 days look perfect apart from Sunday night.

Much the same here. Topped out at 15.0 °C and felt very pleasant when pottering around the back garden for a few minutes just now.

The next week or so looks very good indeed for the time of year. Of course we can't get out and about as we'd like to, but I certainly intend to spend some of tomorrow afternoon just lazing in the garden with a cold drink. Such a change from the last six months!

First 20c+ of the year here, the only way is up ☝️

This week looks very promising and I’m working outdoors (privately that is) so give me 23c and sunshine and Dancer will be very happy
