Yup, well sort of, just scattered showers though.  Nothing about the giant blob of approaching possible snowy doom heading in.

EDIT, Temps dropping rapidly as this is approaching, gone down from 5.9C to 4.9C in the last 30 mins and it's still a good 30/40 mins away.

I'm pretty sure this band of PPN wasn't forecast to make it that far South! The models had a band of PPN hitting Yorkshire and Northwards. If it carries on at this rate, the whole of the Midlands could see some snowfall this evening! It shows no signs of slowing down

It wasn’t predicted to be that far south. The Met Office regional forecast had been for it to be dry but they’ve now changed it to ‘rain clearing to wintry showers’.

I honestly think this band could bring a covering of snow to Stoke. Doubt it will even reach my area (Northampton) but i'll be happy for you guys in the North West Midlands if it does! The intensity is there. Let us know what happens.

It will raise upper air temperatures and dew points just a touch but looks like things may just stay the right side of marginal. Going to be interesting!

Too murky dark to really see anything now, but sounds like the windows are getting hit by a light smattering of icy sounding rain whenever the wind gusts against them.

EDIT Wind gusts are picking up too, the house is creaking during them

The rate it’s moving at, it should be here by 29th February 2021.

That would be a miracle

It was racing in as it came in from the Irish sea then it seemed to slam the breaks on when the front of it reached Chester/Wrexham.

It's showing sleet over Market Drayton way, and it's crawling closer inch by inch on the radar.  Temps also dropping quite fast looking at the Wunderground weather stations that are set up in our area. So fingers crossed it'll be turning to snow SOON™

Temps holding at 3.6C here at Wolves, still no precip, just touch and go regards the white flakes falling.

My money is on sleety rain, temps just too high, shrinking pretty quickly and starting to thin out now.

*squints at lamppost* definatly some larger 'blobs' mixed in with what's coming down, can't tell if it's actual flakes or melted larger drops.
