Well that was fun. It’s even settled on grass and cars.

Looking at the radar were in a bit of a train of snow storms, so prepare for another covering shortly ?

Yeah. It stopped for a few moments but it’s now hammering down again.

Snowed every day this week. An interesting end to otherwise boring winter.

Not quite reached me yet, but can visibly see the light levels dropping as it's moving in towards me, time to go hang out the upstairs window again ?

EDIT, Speaketh of the devil and it shall appear! Just started as I pressed submit ?

snowing! wet small flakes, time of year perhaps advantage, always find it dosen't have to be anywhere near as cold, late Feb, more especially March and April to snow, this would not happen in Dec and Jan off SW'ly

Thanks to sea surfaces being at their coldest and warming cold airmasses less. Yet any snowfall in December and January settles more because the ground is colder.

Yesterday mornings wet snow off pure Atlantic air, falling of a SW'ly, almost certain pure rain if same setup was 5 weeks ago

Looks like we've moved out of the line of fire now ? The easterly movement has pushed the northern edge passed us. ?

Also late Feb, think around 20th is the date when heat from sun convection becomes possible

A heavy snow shower over the last 20 minutes has whitened the ground again here and the temperature has fallen from 3.2c to 0.4c. It'll all be gone as soon as the sun comes out again though.

Turned into quite a large band now, that appears to be turning into sleet/snow where it's coming ashore, looks like things are going to get very interesting in a couple hours or less. ?

*Crosses fingers*

You guys in Stoke will be laughing if this hits you! It's heading towards your area at quite a quick rate! Surprise snowfall maybe?
