Hi everyone....

Time for me to be interested again?

Very cold here this morning with a minimum of -5.1C recorded at 08:15 after the low cloud broke up at about 05:00.

Sun just peering at me above the horizon, but still at -3.1C.   (09:40)

Looks set to be sunny, but a faint mist is appearing at about 6 meters, presumably caused by a mixed layer.

Lets hope that the SSW 'dice' turns up with a 6 again for us this year:cold::oldgood:

MIA

Yet again clouded over by dawn (what does it take to get a sunny day these days?!), but still managed to get down to -4.6c in my garden

That's colder than anything I recorded in 2011, 2013 or 2014 so can't grumble!

Very chilly today. Coming out of a -5.0 °C minimum, and it took until almost midday to get above freezing despite decent amounts of sunshine. Then, as per usual, the sky clouded over for the rest of the day. Max 2.1 °C not long before dusk. Currently a few tenths above zero. Apart maybe from that minimum, not a lot of interesting weather has happened here for quite a while now.

Few flakes of snow around mid-morning. A nice surprise given none was forecast. Hope for some of the white stuff during the next few weeks. Fingers crossed.

Fingers are definitely crossed... lets hope the Midlands is once again in the sweet spot. Birmingham snow row looking good at the moment

Feeling fairly confident (at this stage) that we'll see some cold and snow here in the West Midlands. Moved up here with the family in August last year from Poole in Dorset; and had two good snow events down there in March 2018. Really hope to see some decent snow here in the Black Country sometime during the next 2 to 3 weeks.
