Yes, today looks like being the first day this month with no measurable rain. 4.05 hrs sunshine too so it's also the sunniest day of the month so far.

One or two light showers yesterday evening ended the chance of yesterday being the first dry day this month. Perhaps it will be today.

Or perhaps not, after looking at the latest radar!

Seriously, we had one of the longest, driest, hottest summers in decades 😜

But it's amazing how long ago that seems now isn't it? 😥

June and July were great. August, not so much. It does seem like a distant memory.

This day last year it took me two hours to dig the car out in Telford, after the snow on Fri 8th plus Sun 10th and we foolishly left it with -12 temps at night... taught me never to leave 27 cm of snow to freeze on a car for days!

Only see it once and i was driving in Broad street it was like a ice skating rink. Seems the warning are more south today it looks to be the timing of the front to me already its moving slower than predicted.

Tomorrow has me stirring!

This morning's minimum was -2.8C and it has reached the dizzy heights of 3.2C now.

Have a major family Xmas  lunch tomorrow, and people are travelling 150 miles from the North by car via Cheltenham!!!

Here's hoping it delays a little longer..

MIA

I think I was spoiled by December 2017 -- I just can't get interested in the possibility of an hour or two of transient sleet! Would still be preferable to freezing rain, though, as I have to travel tomorrow. Thankfully only to Worcester rather than up north, but I could really do without that amber freezing rain warning being moved any further south. If the trains aren't running, I won't be going anywhere!
