Was very close to Cath De Barnes doing some cleaning work on a drive at the bottom end of Knowle.

Had spent 4 hours on it, when the storm suddenly struck.

I was 10 mins from completion and had just piled up all the dirt and moss for collection, when the rain started.

Thunder peeled out overhead and the deluge (within a minute of starting)  was  washing  all my piles of rubbish back onto the drive again!!    . (I loved it really!)

Gave up. It was truly a very funny moment to see all my 4 hours work undone in 3 minutes flat. The pile was last seen floating down the road.

The rain was an absolute deluge when it hit. Water was running everywhere and forming waves on the street.

I jumped in my car and drove very slowly home through flooded roads with even lorries  parked up and the water  gushing in waves everywhere.

Got home had a shower, changed and am now sat looking at the sun breaking through. My neighbours were out unblocking the local drains.

Really a very nice storm

Looking forward to the Villa match. Wonder if Villa Park is flooded?

MIA

Fun and games wasn't it my friend!!.  just seen the footie on the box. All ok

I could not of described it better myself, I’d just got back from work and had to run from the car to my house, no more than 15 yards....I’m not exaggerating when I say this *if I’d done the ice bucket challenge I would of been dryer* I’ve never known a deluge like it or in your case a biblical sized ...JET WASH

Yes it was insane, I've only seen rain like that in a Houston TX storm before. I was driving down the Stratford Road and there were waves of water, it just collected incredibly quickly. Thats two evenings on the trot driving through biblical rain but tonights was heavier. Because of the rain it meant it was hard to distinguish the thunder and lightning as it was blinding. Even parked up waiting to get out at home I couldn't see a thing. Had to wait about 20 mins to even get out.
