As can be seen it links back to the next one down by Banbury.

Thanks to Rob for spotting it.

We seem to be under the convergence zone, coming up from Kent, firing over London and  then taking aim at us.

Our turn at last, after a couple of years of little storm activity.

Reports of a funnel cloud over Nuneaton last night. We seem to be the hot spot for tornadoes in this area

Had a short but sharp stormy spell last night in Walsall a long with some very heavy rain, again for a short spell. Love a good storm and so although it didn’t last too long it was great to see!

Apologies for the quality, I recorded it on my phone and just screenshot the fork!

Looking at the radar, all the activity is North of Brum and the Northwest.

Saw one thunderstorm right overhead yesterday, which produced a rainbow as it approached. Then captured a photo of a shelf cloud from a thunderstorm that tracked just west of Stoke shortly after sunset.

Sadly the thunderstorms have all missed Stoke today.

Hi Matt, that’s the way the cookie crumbles , I was surprised more than most that us down here yesterday seen good action yesterday...as we all know we can’t put an order in, in lands when in lands.....but the best bit is watching where it’s going to ( radar mode )

Early cloud has cleared and now it's almost completely clear, 22c feels hot as it's so humid. Best weather for almost 2 weeks.

24.2c here... it feels warmer though , like Snowy L mentioned , it’s the humidity making it feel almost HOT .....not moaning though ?

Looks like a band of heavy thundery(?) showers is heading towards Birmingham within the next hour….

Missed all the action today further north as have been cleaning all my slabs in the garden with my new washer.

LIghtning app has given me an occasional beep but nothing close by, so just kept going.

It would be nice if the showers could electrify over us?

At least 3 different storms rumbling around Shrewsbury from about 5-8pm: one I heard to the W near home north of town but no rain from it, then I had to go to the south side where it was dry but very black to the NE and N, then near the centre I hit the rain and had lightning and more rumbles. Had rained when I got home too.
