Hi all, it’s been a while, I’m hearing my first booms of the season  ⚡⚡⚡

Yep developed really from nowhere just to our SE on the edge of the main storm moving NW just to our North.

A dozen loud booms here, and half a dozen flashes of lightning, despite the sun being still out.

The raindrops looked enormous in the sunshine.

Barbeques all around were sent scurrying indoors.!

Looks like another one is lining us up in about an hours time.

Will it fizzle out though, before it gets here. Surely we cannot be doubly lucky.

Welcome to Solihull mate.

I hope you have brought all the snow with you....

Meanwhile the sky in the SE is now looking stormy again   with the sun shining on the  storm clouds showing several towers approaching. This time it looks to be heading straight for yourself rather than Central Solihull.

Lightning Tracker showed 2 strikes around here within 400 yards. One (the nearest) looks to be in the garden of my ex neighbour who moved to a new local house a couple of years ago.

The farther one looks to be on the Robin Hood Golf Course.

Keep the faith...

MIA

I'm only here temporarily, maybe for a year. Originally from these parts but lived for 13 years in Stoke, so seen fair share of snow though Solihull did better during the 2010 winter! Sadly the vantage points for storms are lacking round here.

Stunning lightning here on the edge of storm 2.

2 or 3 flashes a  minute and the thunder is continuous.

Missing the heavy rain here so far, but it enables me to see the light affect in the anvil over my head right now,  and just  now an anvil creeper with a CG at the end of the creeper.

Fantastic light at the moment with black cloud overhead being lit by the lack of cloud to the west.

Certainly no thought of any of this 3 hours ago!!

This second one has the best lightning as we're not under the heavy rain. My friend in Sheldon says its pouring there.

Yes he is next to Elmdon Park. The heavy rain isn't here in Monkspath this time, can hear it rumbling away to the north. Radar looks good in a bit too!

Think you must be right under this one then.... a couple of strikes between the Rover Works and Old Load lane and one just this side of Load Lane.

Rain here light.  but  I can clearly see the CG's coming down. The C to C lightning is a strange yellowy orange colour upover my head..
