Don't know why it's suddenly all gone wrong in the last 2 hours but it's a fitting end to this cool spell and winter. This winter has had a bit more snow than 2013/14 but I still have it as the worst I can remember because of all the storms on top of lack of cold and snow.

You say it’s gone wrong in last 2 hours? It hasn’t happened yet so anything can happen, expect the unexpected and you may be surprised

Quite       radar watching  before I go to bed  sleet showing  up in wales and over dartmoor    does seem slightly further north than expected

Is it my eyes or is the system way bigger than predicted are the showers from the north joining the party and maybe that's what's mixing the uppers.

Sorry to intrude, what does it mean if the precipitation is further north?

Looking good for you guys tonight.

For me  if its further north  it's more likely  that the heavy stuff will make it here   more likelihood of snow fall   if not  a sleety mix

The arome  shows perfectly  how marginal it is   knife edge

It could literally be a 50 mile wide slither of snow on the northern end of this band!!could be a jackpot for some even if that means only a few cms!

Well I hope you all get a decent covering! I'm not bitter like some of the people in certain threads. Look forward to the pics.

With all the technology they still cant nail down the snow line. Just so many factors to take into account. Like you said it knife edge big time.

Weather wouldn’t be half as fun if it wasn’t so frustratingly difficult to predict

Where in Wales though that's the question.

Pink bits on the radar around Brecon Beacons, (nothing really surprising about that).

Setting my alarm for 5am as that’s when we should start to see some wintriness in Stoke (if we are to see any). Or I’ll just wake up to more disappointment and wet streets.

Night all!
