Its belting down at The Hawthorns - was just on sky sports news, that is only about between 600 and 700ft - you should be all snow from now on at 800ft.

It is all snow but just too light , always seems to be just on the edge of the shower lol

The band of precipitation pushed through here as nothing but sleet. Going to find it tough going to get snow here at 55m asl.

Sinking feeling about tonight now.

Shower activity upstream doesn't look prolific for here either yet.

Getting some big flakes here now and was really heavy a moment ago but still refused to settle. Did sort of try though.

Hmm. Cheshire Gap has suddenly gone quiet.

You can always rely on the Irish Sea to dry up when the temperature goes below 3C. It's the only body of water I've ever seen have an anti lake effect.

Trying its best to snow in Coventry (failing miserably ), currently 2C, radar shows sleet everywhere except, altitude.

From what I gather with Cheshire gap stuff it takes a few hours of winds from that direction then it starts to get going. Could be talking crap but that’s just what Iv notices from previous times
