Fingers crossed for storms tonight UKV has them moving over us so promise is there.. I like extremes in weather but this sort of heat I find unbearable for working outside in the fields.

Completely cloudy for 2 hours now with no end in sight. Already 3C behind forecasts. Great start to this "heatwave".

Still predominantly cloudy - but starting to break now, and temps passed 23C already, so heat should not be a problem today.

Took 3 hours for that crap to go. Currently 21C in this scorching "heatwave". Will be lucky to hit 25C nevermind 35C.

Cloud started to clear around 10:30ish and now there's hardly any clouds, its only 11:30 and its already getting incredibly sticky here and very warm in the Sun, temp almost at 24c.

Edit - Its now just passed 24c.

Was worried the cloud this morning would ruin today but temperatures are back on track. Currently 30C.

Hit 30.4 °C about half an hour ago, so a new 2019 high for me by 0.2 degrees. However, the sun's now gone in and quite a bit of cloud is spreading in from the SW. Looks like it may be a very uncomfortable night for sleeping.

Few spots of rain and very dark but very humid. The sort of rain feel you get in a tropical climate.

Nudged up to 30.6 °C before the cloud rolled in. Currently dry but gloomy and feeling slightly threatening.

About as warm as it gets for a British evening up here, even the breeze is warm still! Hoping for an overnight boom, but must retreat from the garden to bed. Most of the neighbours are still sitting out in there gardens!

Looking like a superb chance for a direct hit tonight. Our weather luck this year on the West Mids has been abysmal. Surely this can't miss?

Woohoo we have a beast! Flashing around for an hour, then rumbles getting louder, finally heavy rain with loud booms and bright flashes

Absolutely hurling it down here in Bewdley now, with frequent lightning -- a real strobe show! Easily the best display this year in these parts.
