Such a poor spring/early summer. This is the 3rd time it’s rained continuously for over 24 hours. Grim.

Still I see people saying that the rain is needed and welcome. No it isn’t! How much damn rain do we need?!

yeah enough rain already!

Discovered my roof gully is leaking and seeping into my new bathroom! Not a massive job to get fixed, but can't do it until it stops raining!!!

A very cool and windy day here so far ( 8.3c according to the Davis on the roof, and gusting to 46 mph ) but only light rain since 0930 g.m.t. Certainly nowhere near the totals projected on some of the models, unless of course further heavy rain develops later today and into tomorrow.

Between now and Friday, when is the next band of heavy and persistent rain due to arrive? Last night was quite a show, with heavy rain and howling winds for quite a while.

Well Matt, down here we need another 100mm by the end of June to get up to our normal average.for half a year (~300mm)

And after a dry 2018, we could probably do with a bit more on top.   So stop hogging it all and send some south

I wish I could!

Been raining moderately since 5pm yesterday. Not looking forward to my walk home from work!

Been raining here [Melton Mowbray] at various intensities since 9am yesterday morning!

Approx 40mm in that time according to my rain gauge! Was absolutely bombing it down in the middle of the night and a pretty stiff wind too, bending the trees right over in my garden.

Even the dogs didn't fancy their walk this morning!

Hi all,

Flaming June  more like flooding June, you don’t see many Maps like this, current alerts and flood warnings.

It is indeed the third time with over 24 hours of rain. It has been a rubbish couple of months here in Stoke really. Very little warmth to get excited about. I have had one BBQ this year, probably had about 10 by this time last year.

Rain could have stopped here now!!

24 hrs of steady rain have left 1 inch (25mms) on my gauge.

What is more remarkable for here is that the temperature was at a max at 9.7C at 09:00, and then fell steadily in the rain to a low of 8.4C at 16:00  and is now at 8.9C.

One of the coldest days I have recorded for June on my readings.

Walsall Golf Club had received 30mm of rain today by 8.30pm. 76mm for the month. Ridiculous!

More rain overnight with a further 8mms falling.

Makes 35mms since Sunday and  59mms for the month.

Still dull and cold with the temperature finally in double figures at 10.2C.

A dry day is forecast....

Stafford 10 day forecast it would never come off like that. would be truly record-breaking if it did.

That is based on 12Z GFS, seems to be a fault on it

Heavy persistent rain now here, plenty more to come looking at the radar and doesn't seem to be moving North a as forecast.

River Nene has been in and out of Strong Stream Warning 6 times in 2 days. The Soar is a out to break its banks with some roads closed already, and the flood gates have gone on the Trent this morning, vast quantities of water coming down from every section of the Trents catchment area.!!

The Severn is rising quickly, expect the flood defences to go up in Bewdley tomorrow.
