3 snow symbols have appeared on my Met Office app. Hmm. We’ll see.

Well the channel seems to be feeding the front.

Those lucky guys going to have it for hours.

seems to have built in intensity.

I'm not jealous at all.

Well just had a look out the window and I can assure you nothing is falling in Rugby. Part of me wants to stay up a little later but the other part of me wonders whether it’s worth my time

About 2 until 6 I can see snow for the Mids. It's in touching distance now of Birmingham.

Only problem is alot of it doesn't seem to be resulting in anything falling out the sky.

True the radars all over the UK seem a tad deciving. But it shows it definately continuing North and starting to arc. I think a few suprises are coming.

Update: It is now snowing in Rugby and has dusted the pavements. I guess with the ground being dry anything falling is settling easily.

Well, well well. This could throw up a few surprises after all  I hope it does keep moving Northwards. If it does, there will be quite a few surprised and happy people on here tomorrow morning! I'm at work till 2:30am, so I shall be following it closely, from afar.

I know this isn't very scientific, but animating the last few frames of the radar makes me think, "One more oomph and it would be here!" A 20-30 mile push north would allow an awful lot more of our region to get at least a dusting.

Might have another chance tomorrow (today now) if any of the showers coming in from the NE get this far. Ah well, what will be will be.

It's trying to by 3am the Birmingham line has been breached and looking at te pivot its only going further North.

You sure that's not just a frost? Just the odd flake blowing in the wind in Daventry which the radar shows is in heavier precipitation.

Definitely isn’t a frost! It’s like the top of a Victoria Sponge at the minute but it’s definitely snowing
