Yeah there seems to be patchy bits spreading north but from what I can see the main batch seems to be staying below Worcester hope I’m wrong though

Looks like cloud masquerading as snow?

The light precipitation is that actual snow or is it inaprop?

I think we have 2 issues working against us here. Not only how far north it goes, but how well it can hold together as it moves and pivots everso slowly.

I admire the optimism on here and I really want you all to be correct. But I'm sorry, with the main bulk of the precipitation still way off in the south of England with only very light stuff possibly heading our way, I'm sorry, I think the forecasts of a dry night ahead are correct.

I truly am sorry because those who have their hopes still up are actually giving good reasons behind it. But I can't see it at the minute, doesn't mean I'm right though.

Having looked at the Net Weather radar over the past 2 hours, it looks like the band of PPN is still progressing northwards at a decent rate. Shows no sign of stopping it's Northwards movement at the moment.

Yes it does look like the spread North towards us as halted somewhat.  It may pep up again as the heavy stuff is heading north  hopefully aiding moisture and another push North bringing heavy stuff over us.

Just seems to have stopped and is now pivoting back down south

i hate the current graphics for weather forecasting,  its impossible to differentiate between clouds and snow. bring back the stick on symbols anyday.

Normally in this situation the snow ends up further north than forecast, but for the first time it hasn`t even reached here, may clip us later.

Fingers firmly crossed but for me it is highly unlikely we'll see much. In fact I am not sure we'll see anything.

how have you got snow if you're in leicester,  the radar doesnt even show snow over you.  it shows it over us in northampton but we have zilch.  what the heck is going on?

I didn't say it was snowing in Leicester? I said it looks like it has stopped it's northwards push and is now going back down south

It is definitely still moving north just zoom out and run a few loops over the last 30minutes. Wether any meaningful precipitation will get far enough north or just a few flakes blowing in the wind however is a different matter.

looked this way since Tuesday, always going to be mainly S of M4 event, small window but you Leicester folk, and all Midlands, main chance is from the Wash, likely later tonight and tomorrow, before winds turn NNE

only flurries though, but a chance

I can't blame fellow members here hoping for the better but we need to get right the fundamentals of meteorology even if most of us are just amateurs and it's our hobby. I'll leave it here because I feel that I'm repeating myself.
