How would modelled totals rise if a warning upgraded to amber?

one of the reason to upgrade to amber would be if the expected amounts of snow to fall are adjusted upwards

Comparing that chart for Monday with the precipitation type charts shows how ridiculously overdone the GFS snow accumulation charts are.

Everything is just so west, these fronts never make it enough east for the east mids

Sums it up. Couldn't be any closer. Time and time and time again the snow stops the second it hits the border of Stoke.

Looks patchy for the north and east mids anyway mate, not missing much. I'd rather have nothing falling than have 2cm that gets washed away the next day

I'd snap someone's hand off for 2 cm of snow!

Met and Beeb looks like have next to nowt falling here now, this event will be pointless now, just beware of one or severe frosts, as next week from Monday looks like turning less cold/milder for the foreseeable.

It will be interesting to compare the low and associated band of snow with the models in the morning. You never now it could go way further north... like someone said earlier it's happened before, its only a forecast a present and it will do what it wants

Think Loughborough is just a tad too high and too East, sadly.
