Can guarantee it DWW...Already settling on my garden and lawn...but very wet and slippery , so be careful when moving about.

UKMO takes Thursday WELL south. Not the pattern anyone north of Birmingham wants this far out.

No toys left to throw out of my pram.

Not looking too bad for a couple of hour yet, but is it snow or not that’s the Q

That map is overly optimistic, I'm afraid. I'm between Worcester and Birmingham, and except for one ten-minute period of very wet snow, it's been slightly sleety rain all afternoon, and still is. I hope you get better luck.

Only 70% sure its sleet but 90% sure its snow later. How does that work?

The percentage is chance of precipitation, not precipitation type

I Can report Flakes.

Still mixed in with sleet looking at the puddles bouncing definite flakes falling from the sky.

May be too little to late I have hope a couple of those showers over Wales might come across tonight.

At least I can say I have seen a flake now this winter.

Wife about to leave work hoping roads stay ok until she is home.

Looks light rest of evening so should be ok.

I think the forecast has been spot on for here so far. Drizzle this morning, heavier rain by lunchtime turning to snow by the evening. So for my location, the forecasts have been spot on so far.

Mine was going nicely in TF3 Telford, but seems to be turning back to distinctly-liquid rain now, not even sleet... still, plenty of hours left yet of "the evening" so fingers crossed!

Says it all that because of today, winter 2018/19 is now up to the 5th best winter of this decade.

That front has almost packed it's bags here, quite a pathetic attempt and forecast. Beware what Thursday may or may not deliver.

After my pant wetting a few pages back, we have had moderate to heavy snow for the last half hour.

I'm really pleased about that, not least because after my confidence a few pages back, we have rain again!
