Just had about 5 seconds of sleet...hopefully it will turn more wintry as the temps start to drop.

I think the main event is Thursday night - lampost watchers get ready!

Looking good for you Midlanders after dark! Should start turning to snow, even at lower levels in a few hours.

Meanwhile, here in Spain, just across the border from Gibraltar...

It may look nice but give me snow any day of the week

I think the forecast has been spot on for here so far. Drizzle this morning, heavier rain by lunchtime turning to snow by the evening. So for my location, the forecasts have been spot on so far.

Here in Solihull..

Turned to real sleet about 30 mins ago..

First flakes now falling as the 'turn' is taking place.

Temp 4.1C at 13:00, now down to 1.9C. Dew point which was 2.3C now down to 1.2C.

Could yet get  a cm or two out of this.

MIA

Edit - as I type more snowflakes and the temp falls to 1.7C and dew point to 0.9C.

The fronts nearly finished with the most of us mate, there won’t be anything going on later bar puddles getting frozen.
