I am really confused all the model last night had this moving nw to se, yet it is all moving NE and annoyling all the heavy PPN is to the west of me!!! Is it suppose to pivot and move back SE?

Also I know everyine says ignore the METO symbols forecast but they must be based on something, at 1pm I should have had heavy snow at 2pm thats now been downgraded to sleet, then heacy snow from 3pm til 6pm. it seem every hour I appraoch that has heavy snow is then changed!!!!

What is going on???? Yes I know its the weather but surely they should be able to now cast!!!

Thursday looking very interesting, with this system basically grinding to a halt, many parts of midlands especially south and west could see a right dumping!! Expect Amber warnings to be issued inside next 24hrs

Hope so Matt.

Only hope for tonight is that the Cheshire gap gets going enough for a few showers to run inland. Hideous event and timing again for us today.

Here we go. The first few snow flakes now starting to mix in with the rain.

In fact, increasingly more flakes as I'm typing.

Do you think it will? Its just been much warmer than forecast I think and the PPN has moved NE. Someone said earlier a NWesrly would establish and send it back??

A rather sleety drizzle here - not what I was hoping for!

Temp 3.2. dew point 0.4 Rain

Looking at the radar looks very thin the stuff that comes later tonight. expecting a non event here or very little.

The heavier patches are almost on me and the rain isn't that heavy.

Fingers crossed for Thursday.

Just been out with the dogs. Light drizzle here, perhaps a slight drop in temp. Ground was hard underfoot this morning, wet and mushy now. Can't see too much happening here, perhaps a little something later but it is just not cold enough at the moment
