Moderate snow here, giving another dusting on top of what was already there, but because of that prolonged clear spell for the past 2 hours, the snow is settling everywhere now easily and is very icy out there already.

Well, a few flakes drifting down now, but don’t think it’s going to amount to much.

Wasn’t all that heavy really, although that snow shower seem to provide a little dusting in one or two areas in this part of Solihull.

Can’t really help but feel quite sorry for @MattStoke. Frustrating it is when you’re always just clipping the edge of showers!

Now I don't want to raise hopes as it's a little difficult to tell in the Moonlight, but, along with an incredibly heavy frost, I think, and please don't take it as gospel, we have had the finest covering of snow.

And as the council decided to grit early yesterday afternoon, before it rained, roads and paths will be lethal.

As you were

It was more icy when I went to bed than this morning! It was hovering around freezing, so the roads were just wet instead. Surprised considering how cold it got yesterday evening!

An inch or so of snow in TF3 - and even from the window of the flat it looks lethally icy - take care if you're in an icy area, folks!

As you can see by this car windscreen, a few, and I stress, a few flakes did fall here.

Can finally confirm we had a dusting overnight in WR9!

Yesterday was entirely a rain event whilst others had snow but we finally saw the first flakes of winter!

Looks like next week and maybe even this weekend may bring the opportunity for further wintriness. Although, after the way yesterday went, it's probably best I keep my expectations low

Lol Yes.  i still cant believe how  that large shower around 11ish last night missed you    seemed to dive South East at the last minute   anyway  always next time.

A few of them did that. The wind direction just wasn't quite right for here and I guess that had uppers been just a fraction lower, then there may have been stronger convection and the showers may have lasted longer in land. Quite a few died out just to my west.

Made the mistake of looking at surface winds, which looked good for here, and ignoring winds at the 850hpa level, which had too much of a northerly component to them. Lesson learnt!

Icy morning, 2cm or so lying snow, looks proper wintry.

That first snow about 7pm followed by further showers through to about 3am, after which it seems to have cleared and frozen. A commendable effort from what looked to be a marginal NW-ly incursion.

Well a bit more quieter in here today   looks like however start of next week is our next chase

Some quite potent and unstable north/north westerlies on the model output.

Looks like the weekened will bring much stronger winds with the snow showers see what difference that`ll make.

Got an inch after another shower overnight 2c now hardly any wind from this cold snap mostly from the west.
