On the Nwest thread someone has posted it's started snowing and they are based Warrington / Widness. So not to far from the Cheshire / Staffs Border.

Disappointing night albeit not surprising in the slightest!! Rained heavy whilst between 2-4c and then lost precipitation in the early hours.

Even dead cert snow spots failed to muster anything of note.

Damn you Azores high

Midday onwards is where our best chances are, right? Iced over this morning and the 10 minute spell that passed through stuck instantly.

looks rain posted in NW thread by NWsnow, but cold air meant to be behind todays rain, our chances tonight when winds turn NW'ly behind the rain

today is the start of winter

?? For snow later

certainly few snow chances on todays EC and GFS, right until early Feb, nothing amazing, but certainly temporary coverings at low levels

SIGH, Buxton to be cut off by early Feb, Stafford just smatterings
