If you look at the chart depths on euro4 some places in the Peak District, I’m thinking around Buxton and higher villages and like of kinder it’s 20-40cm

Yeh low ground as far as leicester coventry could see 5 to 10 cms according to euro4!!you will be snowed in

Last Friday I had about an inch of snow from -2 uppers in a southerly wind. Weird. It really caught me out.

All I no is we quite often get a good streamer set up here from a northwesterly so if it’s cold enough we could get quite a bit and say the uppers are more than cold enough once this front passes through

i hate watching beeb weathet but so uninspiring no talk of accumulations ! Talk of rain sleet and a few snow showers

Ignore that, from previous experience trust me nw wind here is pretty good and can get a constant run of showers at times.

the forecasts will be way out when it comes to showers imo

to me that seems accurate with just -7 uppers, at low levels anyway, still confident of falling wet snow tomorrow, but for a proper fall need to be 200m+ plus

That’s why I always do well here probably. I leave redditch with rain and sleet and get home to whiteout. Happens all the time, but do think anything from about 150m will do pretty good tomorrow particularly in the evening if there’s any precipitation left

Really don’t understand why people seem to be dismissive of there being much if any snow away from the highest ground. All the parameters look very good for snow in late winter nevermind mid winter!

Seems to be the case that every north westerly gets downplayed here only for several inches of snow to blanket down. Can’t understand it.
