Yep, as the GFS has done for days. I normally go by the GFS for streamers/showers from a few days out. Even though it’s accumulation charts are rubbish. Then the Euro4 at close range.

People saying ‘hills/high ground only’. Can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard that in this setup only for Stoke to get clobbered.

Yup midlands looks good from tomorrow till wednesday morning!!infact theres a streamer set up straight into the midlands on the euro4 for wednesday morning!

Tomorrow is now into the range of the Euro4 model. Looks good for some of us.

That has Chesire gap written all over it I would expect the ppn to correct further west as we have seen before. Stoke looks good for a few cms but anywhere in the Midlands or Wales could get a few cms locally. The flow also looks really unstable.

BBC had snow showers here well into Wednesday.

Pretty confident but things can still go wrong!

Stoke looks good mate. I predict between 3 to 5 cm. Rest of the Midlands especially the west between 1 to 3cm. Could be some suprises.

Many models have this little feature passing through the Midlands tomorrow afternoon. Most likely a a trough with an enhanced area of shower activity.

Plenty of small villages/Hamlets round here with pub B&B which do much better than Buxton due to alt and colder temps, Agree it's the highest town, Take a look at Flash for instance.. No idea if the Cat Fiddle has a new landlord yet as they do B&B.

You can certainly see from the 6z Hirlam a streamer setting in.  how much that will produce is very difficult to predict.

Yellow warnings out now for snow and ice. I do think the details will change somewhat and be updated nearer the time..

A band of rain and hill snow will move southeastwards across the UK during Monday evening and overnight. A brief spell of wet snow is possible on high ground of southern Scotland, northern England and north Wales, with some small accumulations possible. Behind this surface temperatures will rapidly fall away with some ice forming on some surfaces. Once the rain has cleared, some hail, sleet and snow showers will follow from the northwest, with 1-3 cm above 200 metres and some small accumulations expected at lower levels.

Got stranded in Flash one time on my hunt for fluffy white flakes lol. That streamer is getting real beefy now. We have a window of Tuesday afternoon to Friday afternoon.

It's looking good Wierpig. Ironic as the Easterly has gone down the pan now. But in all honesty North Westerlies are better for our neck of the woods by far. Rare an Easterly delivers

You are correct  North westerlies  can be brilliant if somewhat marginal    but for snow they do seem deliver more so than a easterly   fingers crossed

Yes during recent Easterlys all the snow just blows away and fills the lanes here. I have always favoured a PM flow.

Perfect 2-5cms across midlands and 10-20cms for the northwest!

According to that chart yes  but it could be less or more  Showers and a gap special are very difficult to predict
