Couldn't see any snow outside the office window as that band pushed through in Warks late this morning. Still a chilly one though. Good to see others got a little early-season white stuff.

Hi Lombo and welcome, plenty of time for us folk that haven’t seen any yet ❄️ if you like the white stuff, it’s great here in the Midlands thread when we get snowfall ⛄

Let’s hope we all have some fun during this forthcoming Winter  ⛄❄️

A cold, wet, miserable day in these parts, even if it did dry up after lunch. Definitely not an improvement over yesterday. A little sleetiness in the heavier showers in mid-morning, so technically our first wintry precipitation of the season, but there was nothing enjoyable about it. Temperatures down around 3 °C until early afternoon, with an absolute max of 5.2 °C, making it also the coldest day of the season so far.

Will be keeping an eye on the minimum tonight. The lowest mark this autumn is a paltry 0.9 °C, so there's a pretty good chance of that going.

DWW..

Have played golf this am and just got back in..

Now cold and murky... the frost cleared as the cloud spread in from the east.

Temperature max 3.9C now at 3.2C and falling again.

Dull with patches of drizzle for the rest of the day.

I agree, I’ve been in Knowle all day and this morning wasn’t too bad, but this afternoon with cloud cover it made it feel mighty chilly ?

I’m sort of glad anyway, my CET guess is at 6.5c but I think your 6.9c will do better ??

I think it will struggle to get down to 6.9C, without some night frosts, but the last couple of days should bring it down by about 0.5C.

I think I may have more chance with my rainfall guess though!

Whoops, forgot to mention... the minimum that night here was -3.4 °C, so not as cold as in your neck of the woods but still easily my coldest night of the year. Max the next day was 3.4 °C, so nice symmetry there!

Last night was another frosty one (-1.9 °C) but we're already up to the dizzy heights of 4.7 °C!

Arctic Hare..

Much colder for you overnight. than here..

Didn't drop below 2,0C here as cloud (and drizzle) persisted.

Current temperature a 5.3C, still with the persistent murk and no wind.

Edit for info.

My station is in a sheltered  garden (about 7 foot in the air, (2Meters)), and although I am in the centre of Solihull (1 mile?), I do seem to be a bit colder than many around here due to the fact that I am quite close to an area of open grassland. Most people (and the official sites) around here also recorded the same as yourself at about -3.0 to -3.5C.

What I guess I am saying is that I tend to record the same  as more rural districts.

The sun has recently come out to play, after a spell of very heavy showery rain earlier.
