Just been out and the roads flooded as it’s cat and dogs here ☔

Yep DWW...

Very heavy here between 08:00 and 09:00, with an occasional rumble in the distance?

Local road flooded and I have been out to clean the drains.

Still moderate to heavy rain falling. I have recorded 18.6  mms in the last 12 hrs and 9 mms in the last 3.

My newly planted runner beans are loving it!

MIA

Edit - Still raining moderately but is looking a bit brighter towards the south east.

Its disappointing and that's putting it lightly, heavy rain here in Hinstock. Only 2 days ago the met office tweeted a lovely warm sunny weekend and have now issused warnings for heavy rain from 0600 Saturday until 23.59 Sunday night. I understand they cannot control the weather, but don't get peoples hopes up of a sunny and increasingly warm bank holiday.

Isn't that thunderstorms rather than a front though? Those pop up so locally.

The Fax charts show a trough over the West Midlands which I hope is wrong and agree thunderstorms can pop up locally.

Not looking to good now for the bank holiday.

Just  about stopped here now after 24.7mms in the last 12 hours.

The garden is now satisfied!! I now need a good CGI, and all will be well in the world

Well as i only seem to post on here in the Winter ( when my driving phobias kick in !).

How far in advance would you tend to believe a UK weather forecast ? Maybe never, i hear you say. Im trying hard not too look to far ahead for our holiday in Devon in the Summer.

I don’t think I’ve seen thunderstorms being mentioned so much by the BBC before:

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday

“Sunday will be very warm with sunny spells but also the chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorm. Monday will have sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud with a few showers or thunderstorms likely. Still very warm. Tuesday will see the warm spell continue. There will be some sunshine but again the chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorm forming later on.”

14.1c and a chilly NE wind all day and the wettest day by far this month by a mile.

26c last year hot.

The forecast of thunder these last 2 days has gone out the window by the TV forecasts.

But I do expect it by sunday onwards.

Pretty grotty here in N Worcs. I was hoping for some slightly fresher brighter breaks before the possible storms later, but no such luck. Light rain and 14.9  °C right now.

horrible day again, looks the same for whole of Whit week

Yep poor morning with a few drops about 09:00.

However...  is now brightening and we may see the sun shortly, and the temp has started to rise.

Now at 18.0C .

Fingers crossed for later as its fine at Lords.  (weather!).

MIA.

Bright here from about 11am. Think the BBC online graphics are going a bit over the top with the rain for the week ahead. Apart from a few showers on Sunday I dont see when else it is going to rain.

Definitely brightening up a bit in Dullihull now. ?

Hopefully the brighter weather will spread further West and North for those of you under the thick murky cloud still.
