Inaprop!! I haven't heard that in years. I forgot about that saying  amazing.

Or was it 'anaprop'? Either way, I love it.

Yep just seen that... it seems to be back building and spreading North.

There are also signs that the Wash Streamer is building up,  (and its heading straight for the Bham area!)..

If the 2 could join up we will really be in business!

As BB stated there are real signs of widespread snow building up!

Most of us will see a decent covering of snow. Some will see a lot. Writing off snow hours before warnings come into place and against all the computer models and predictions from the pros is daft. At least I wait until well into the event before moaning about missing most of the action

Unfortunately - yes it does look like an inapprop.                    Love it...

Yep DS1970..

We have also a bright period here now, but we still have moderate sized snow flakes floating around.

As you say it is melting now with the temp here at +1.0C now. The DP however continues to tumble as we the colder air begins to move in. Wind chill at-3.8. The DP has now dropped to -5.3C.

About 2C higher than the Maxi beast. but it is getting towards it.

We really need a decent attempt after 6.00pm for anything to settle and last for any length of time, but shower intensity are the always most difficult to pin point, either in winter or summer.

yes, and here good flurry, but will never lie

Anything before this evening is a waste. Although it has left a patchy dusting. Fortunately, the heaviest and most prolonged snow looks to arrive after dark. Good timing!

A flake has settled on top of a blade of grass. Does this count as a drift?

only if it moves from the blade of grass into something else, like a twig

Cat had a touch of dandruff on but bugger all apart from that Talke area of Stoke. Knowing our luck it will prob get as far as the Bet 365 stadium then turn back, so can't see North Stoke on Trent / Cheshire border getting much as per normal lol

I'm in Longton, right in the far south of Stoke. Quite large flakes and it's still coming down. Covered all the grass but little on the pavements.

Still nothing that warrants a yellow yet alone an amber weather warning.

Visibility down to about 200m so I think we can call this a whiteout.  :)
