Has been all morning down here, eased off for now....some nice echoes on the radar and looks like what you've got could make inroads down this way.

Currently not mild... 6.6c

DWW..

Steady rain here since around 07:30 this morning.

Temp a bit higher than yours at 6.9C(unusually), Do you have a personal weather station now?

I have recorded 12.3mms this morning with  the moderate rain and 25.2 mms since Friday evening.

Yep - it  looks as though we could get a lot more later this afternoon.

I am being stirred into life again, by the prospects of another beast this weekend. On the '00' ICON run it will reach us by Friday. it also looks as if it could be quite potent. I will go and sort out my potency numbers for winter easterly outbreaks and see where it might sit in the anals.    It could be very close to the top if not unique (if it comes off as forecast).

Hi MIA, Yes Ive got a Weather station, admittedly few years old now (none PC connection)...still works fine though.

But I'll let you into a secret... the wife gifted me Xmas a new all singing and dancing one from the internet  'Maplins' and I still haven't set it up yet :shok:

Will do,  that's what I keep tell her that anyway LOL!

Yes I'm on model watch....Loving it....Never thought I'd see another March 2013, we'll see anyway....Touch wood and all that :whistling::D

I'd promised a couple of photographs of the 81-82 winter here in Stafford, Acton Trussell to be precise. I have got photos somewhere of cars buried in the drifts on this road so will have to have another dig.

Just up the road from here there were 20' drifts where the hedge and bank increased in height from the road and the snow just kept falling and blowing out through the hedges.

What a miserable day today, precipitation as snow would nowhere near come close to us in this part of the Midlands. Rain is coming from all directions :sorry:

'96 doesn't ring a bell, we had an absolute dumping round here in 1990, with power outages, however we were pretty much the northern line of it as the snow petered out around M6 J15.  I've a feeling it was around the beginning of December.

December 1990 if memory serves me correct... no power or water, flushing toilets with melted snow.  It was before Christmas as remember Christmas decorations ?

Currently 5.8c here. Rain very heavy all day. We are higher up in Tutbury but many low lying villages have flooding. My gauge measuring 23.8mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

They are really great dogs, don’t see too many about now and we had to wait a year to get him. They never stop though, even with two good walks a day he wants more. But a lovely temperament and good with kids. ?
