Brought a few loud rumbles to my work (not far from J26 of the M1) but the main storm has passed to my south towards more Nottingham way.

Certain it was lightning because of the way the flashes flickered. And i know heat lightning is a thing where on a clear night you can see lightning from long distances and there is no thunder because of how far the storm is.

Eastbourne caught a storm around then.

This storm just started to rotate as it went over head here, pretty sure I saw a funnel cloud on it... 

Some beefy storms going up now sun back out here and it's all steamy..

I can hear Thunder, it's a few miles too south to see it, cloud is moving very fast around it though, nice concentration of very dark skies, light cloud and even patches of blue around it.

Distant murmurs of thunder and rapidly darkening clouds to my west.

Judging by the rainfall radar to my west we are in for quite the downpour and some lightning too!

Who needs plumes eh? haha

Been too much cloud so far here, blocking the sun from getting to work. Hopefully now this residual muck clears, the mid afternoon will help to fire that stuff exiting wales later on. Looks good further south though, and the usual Lincolnshire storm magnet getting going.

really warm and windy in portsmouth sun breaking through at the moment but some real ominous looking clouds headed toward us too
