Colder than normal

Ok, how about a bit of perspective here. The front page of the Sun this morning reads "The World's on Fire" and "Planet gripped by killer heatwave". But there must be places which are colder than normal and having more rain than normal. I'm a great believer that things go in cycles and we have a hot summer but then we had a cold winter as well. So does anyone know anywhere which is currently experiencing worse weather than normal - I.e. cooler weather, more rain and more storms.

Certainly, most of the natural drivers are cyclical; it's the unnatural ones that worry me, however...

Lots of info at the NOAA:

So 2018 sitting right in the middle of the 9 warmest years on record. 6 of those 9 are the last 6 consecutive years and all 9 are within the last 20 years.

Very good find and very depressing at the same time. Arctic, Antarctic, tropics, northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere are all above average.

@Sentinelyou've got your answer.

18.5c here quite cool considering we`re in the middle of a killer heatwave which is overramped.

Driest summer on record so far and one of the hottest. But okay it's overramped.

Don`t think it will be the driest on record after the next 5/6 days lots of rain coming torrential thunderstorms Friday,followed by showers much cooler Saturday.

A very wet day on sunday http://wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1021.html  then more showers early next week and cooler.

Iceland is apparently experiencing one of its worst summers in a long time.

Significant +AO periods in April, May and early July no doubt shoved low pressure all over them.
