I'm not sure how much analogues are worth since we have never had a May-July period produce 3 months in a row above 12.7, 15.5 and 17.7 before however if we exclude May and look at the Augusts following just June and July's above 15.5 and 17.7 respectively then we get the following years..

1762

1794

1818

1826

1868

1933

1976

2006

Those went on to produce a CET range of 15.3-17.6C suggesting that while a cool or warm August is possible, we're less likely to an extremely bad or good month.

But as i say, July already broke the record for sustained CET so i'm not sure how much its worth.

Another appreciably above average month, but not to the same degree as July. I will go 18.3 degrees. Most of the heat though reserved for the SE.

More cloud about than June and July which will suppress maxes but keep minima up.

The run of well above average months will break I feel in the autumn, Sept could be a warm one, a flip in Oct or Nov - just my hunch..
