Some computer models are going for upper air temperatures of 15 next week and 35-37oC possible if the sun shines enough! How likely do we think it is and what was the upper temps when the 38.5oC record was set?

GFS max next week on the gridpoints is 31c, EC 30c, GEM 30c...

There is nothing to suggest anything of the sort.

This is from Buzz feed on The Weather Outlook and of course just the idea that temperatures could get that high got me excited slightly
