Blimey a bit of rain falling from the sky. A warm calm start with thin high cloud which is thin enough to the east to allow some sunshine

A dry start to the night but showers during the early hours, and since dawn, have broken the long drought. Cloudy with light-moderate rain at the moment.

23 consecutive  days without measurable rain was the longest summer drought here since 1976 when there was a 26 day drought from August 2nd-27th.

Yesterday.

 

Clear spells for much of the night, low cloud blowing in from the east through the early hours. After an overcast morning, the cloud began to thin and break up around noon. The afternoon saw good sunny spells, feeling warm.

Dry this morning with large amounts of cloud and brief sunny spells, feeling a little cooler than recently.

This afternoon, again dry with more in the way of sunshine / sunny spells. warm in the sun again.  Temps 25c inland.19-20c on the coast.

After a cold morning light rain and drizzle died out by lunch time and the sun finally made appearance in the afternoon with temperatures rapidly rising although too late in the day for it to become hot.

A cloudy morning with moderate showers at first. It became dry shortly after midday, the cloud broke by 1300 g.m.t and the afternoon was warm with sunny periods. Cloud increased again from the west after 1700 and in the last hour there's been a heavy shower.

Dry and very warm with sunny spells. Heavy rain all around - Thatcham, Basingstoke, High Wycombe and west London - but the storm shield is still intact here in Reading, with no more than trace amounts of rain since 3 June. Maximum 26.5, minimum 15.0. Wind light S.

A faint shower overnight and this morning but only enough to wet the tarmac,clearing to give a sunny remainder,a brief sharp shower in the evening giving our first real rain in over a month,max 21 deg,min 15 deg
