There seem to be some significant differences on Weatherbell - Svalbard, Norway, Italy and Greece/Balkans show fair amounts of blue.

ncep_cfsr_t2m_anom_092018.png

And there's a big difference in global anomaly. Weatherbell has only +0.153C for September and +0.248C for YTD.  I'm not familiar with details of all the models. Do Weatherbell and yours measure different things?

So will Europe have anything else then high pressure in the future? Seems like this is the only type of weather that exists these past few years no matter what season we have.

Been very quiet on here lately. Not had any really cold mornings yet in my neck of the woods, but the Autumn colours are really starting to show through now. Hopefully won't be too long now before we start chasing the really cold charts!

anyway what does seasonal mean 2nd half of October?, wind and some rain or are we talking about temperatures dropping (everywhere) to where they should be...late Octobers of recent years (Halloween period) have been mild if not warm, I think last year was cooler though.

why not?  Just a POV re forecasting.....something in my water.....seasonal is just that...more like the norm...but I anticipate Nov to become generally ‘cold’ especially latter half.

It is the warmest October day since 2011

Mona Airfield on Anglesey has hit 23.7c

Currently 25C in Northolt. Any chance of 80F somewhere? That would be 7 months in a row it has been reached.

Not much time left now to hit 80f we'll be around the warmest part of the day now

Sunny.... Warm.... Honestly feels like May today. 10/10 weather! ☀️

Thanks @Summer Sun for doing the sunshine dance. Just make sure you do the dance the rest of the week.

The Atlantic can just go for a nap till early, or mid, November. And then it can send its Lows to the South and East of the UK and bring snow. ❄️

Wonderful Indian summer's day. We had the air frost Sunday dawn

Fantastic clip!  I loved it.  The contrails look like skyrockets!  Only trouble is, you're now going to have to post one of these EVERY DAY please.....

Hi all, some incredible temperatures around today think up here in Glasgow was around 20c.

When was the last time we reached 24c+ from 10th October onwards? As you would expect higher temps of 25c plus seemed to occur around start of month  (2011 for example).

Just something I've noticed.

Friday night into Saturday morning london is not forecast to drop below 19oC and where I am here in Hertfordshire its not meant to be beliw 18oC!

I researched the record highest overnight minima and it's 19.4oC for October!

Is it a record worth watching out for?!

Not sure about the last time so to speak but here's the records for each date of October in the UK:
