Yesterday morning woke up in Childress , Texas. Thiis morning woke up in Colby , Kansas and will shortly be heading north west towards Denver Colorado.  We hope to be watching storms later this afternoon/evening.  It then looks like we will be heading back north towards North Dakota, Strange really because I am sure I was only there last week.

Once we were all loaded up in Denver. We chased and watched a small storm. It was a nice start to the tour. It gave up the ghost and died just west of Limon. So we moved on to Burlington where we are overnighting.

Might have a long haul tomorrow up to North Dakota ready for the next big piece of action.

Watched that storm from initiation just outside of Denver, CO, through to maturity where it was pinging out big C-G's and to it's last bolt from Burlington, CO with a lovely sunset. Some pictures below.

Decent risk in N Dakota tomorrow but I worry about the predominance of HP cells skunking out the potential. On soundings alone I’d look at far N central Dakota - have you got your passports?

A small storm rolled over the hotel at 4am and thanks to the warning from Paul, a couple of us dashed out into the layby in the dark next door and got some decent shots. Mine below. The last one sent us running hence the massive overexposure. That made one hell of a bang, gunshot thunder that hit us like a shockwave. Bit of rain and gusty winds and soon after it started getting light! Enjoy!
