Think those storms coming out of Paris will miss West Kent, think it'll clip Sittingbourne eastwards.

You are spot on Lauren. I'm in Sittingbourne and it's dark as can be and raining with the the thunder and lightning going strong.

The strikes on Blitzortung to Lightningmaps are really quite different in frequency!

Torrential rain now, sky gone almost green!

And we’ve got close lightning!

Moving slightly NW so will skirt round Thetford, I'd put money on it!

A quick update as I am still chasing but just witnessed a real humdinger near to Louth. Most impressive thing was the winds. Not sure the speed but enough that it was pulling the camcorder out my hand.

It was like this when a storm hit Spalding around 6.15ish no wind and calm to possible 30mph

I'm certainly doing so as it might clip my area.

This is my image Paul tried to link to. Shot from somewhere near Flamingo Land looking WSW toward York. The muppet in me forgot I'd had my camera set on medium jpegs rather than RAW as I'd not wanted to confuse my Dad who borrowed it the other day, otherwise I'd probably do something better with the pics :)

It's still an impressive photo - thanks!

How very annoying. Can hear distant rumbles but nothing overhead!

A blurry shot reaching up over a hedge when it was over York itself. Again sorry for the quality! Not many places to stop on the back roads!

Looks like I’m going to miss the best of it. Ah well, we got some much needed rain, and there’s something satisfying about distant thunder. Some of the cloudscapes have been amazing too. Still, not over yet, still got some rain to come!
