love that freshly rained smell does anyone have an idea if portsmouth is due anymore storms?

Unless the stuff to the west of the Channel Islands encounters move instability I think its game over for you and I further west.

Suns still fairly strong here, clouding over to my South

Have you got a reasonable view to your east?  If so, you should be able to see the storm leaving the Norfolk coast.

Hoping the activity over the south of England intensifies and moves north which would be our only chance of getting a storm. Local forecast has ditched tomorrows storms.

According  Blitzkorung lightning has been reported to the east of Lincoln and the west/south of London. Some sferics also in the channel.

The real action though is just to the east of King's Lynn with the storms appearing to move NW'wards

Radar says there’s rain overhead, which I can believe however it’s not reaching the ground

First proper rain for two months here! Most of the thunder just to my East and now some rumbling again  over the channel.

At last! Some rain. A mix of sun and cloud around, though. One cell appeared to be raining over us on the radar but none reached the ground. But now we caught the tail end of a new cell.

The smell from the ground is amazing! It has not rained here since 7 June. All sorts of aromas including ozone, so maybe the air is charged? Good to have even a small amount of rain.

I can hear thunder around, but can't see the source.

Got stop-start thunder here with just a few raindrops, not sure it can be described as a storm lol

Anyone under that in norfolk? Seems not...

I'm one of very few Norfolk members - we have some in Norwich and one at Garvestone near Dereham, but very few west or north of there.

To be fair all the stuff in the Channel is only tapping into a few hundred joules of CAPE so its not surprisingly the activity is sporadic at best.

Nope, rest assured for us in this part of Lincs there is nothing happening and not looking likely.

Regretting not getting out and chasing that Norfolk storm. Looks incredible, but Friday traffic around kings Lynn would’ve scuppered me no doubt!

Still plenty coming up from the south and a strike detected near March!
