If you're on facebook, go to www.facebook.com/live. Few videos on there, one guy showing live coverage in Norfolk with some hail the size of grapes.

Yep cant see why not, as they move into a more favourable environment for Surface Based Storms then they should hold their course, it is not uncommon for Elevated Storms to become rooted into the Boundary layer and become surface based

It seems that the easternmost edge of the unstable airmass is aeound 10-15 miles to my west - any sign that it might move slightly further east?

Tornado and severe thunderstorm watch issued by TORRO: (Sorry it's FB, the TORRO site itself isn't showing it for some reason)

Storm rolling in here at work near Heathrow, not particularly active lightning wise, but first proper rain I’ve seen in over 8 weeks, hope it cools things down a tad, still feels like a sauna outside

You have to keep watching the map. Blue dots come and go as people go live. Click on one when you see it.

A surprisingly average day in MK so far, despite the temperatures! Storm that came through this morning struggled to produce any lightning and mostly clear skies since then. It's got quite interesting in the past half an hour though. Getting a lot darker to the south!P1150011.thumb.JPG.8e60276a5ca21d66fc9294196c10b500.JPGP1150017.thumb.JPG.135fc39b6edba85eda1c3924ef473151.JPG

AcCas produced a short spell of big raindrops earlier. Now I can see the cell and darkening skies to my west over London.

Was on the phone to my boss who is in the London office and said that it looked as if a storm was developing - about 60s later she reported a huge crack of thunder (weather nerd reputation still intact lol).

Extremely oppressive here today - heading to the Kent coast this evening hopefully skipping ahead over the main activity with action for their sweeping in around 21z - 22z. Fingers crossed.

It’s cooled right down out there now and got very dark very quickly. Not expecting anything in this round but it certainly feels different outside...

Gone very 'calm before the storm' here, but whether a storm happens or not remains to be seen.

Skies are looking very unstable now, humidity feels like it's gone up as well.

BBQ in garden and in rolled the clouds and a couple of deep rumbles. About 15 mins of reasonable rain. North Hampshire.
