Did you not get the hour of light rain last Friday evening 8.30 ish Derry?  We did in Ders

It all died out just as it reached Hunstanton, went down to the sea front ready for it and it didn't quite make it.. even worse because it developed again over old hunstanton! Look's promising for the next couple days though.

very disappointing cloudy day here, really not helping aid storm activity, and tomorrows risk has lessened as there is forecast to be plenty of cloud around tomorrow also.

Nah we should be ok. Plume will destabilise through this evening and overnight, so surface heating shouldn’t be much of an issue. Tomorrow could be a corker, maybe not directly overhead, but certainly in the vicinity.

Does East Sussex have a chance later this evening? (in the form of elevated storms)

Certainly noticeable here how it's just completely clouded over at midday in comparison to this morning where it was near blue-skies all around, the humidity was becoming oppressive.

Incredible temp rise here this morning. At 9am only 20C and lagging behind other hotspots across E Anglia. However we are now 30C, Humidity 51%, dewpoint 18.5C. The skies remain hazy as they have been all morning.

86/66 here in Leigh On Sea with not a cloud in the Sky.

Everything looks to be North and West of here for today and not really looking forward to frontal thundery rain on Friday if I am honest.

Good luck to the usual hotspots in these breakdown situations closer to the Trough.

to get the camera ready or not, that is the question, lol

I have a time-lapse camera running outside whilst I'm at my desk, near the southern edge of the North York Moors. The big camera is ready to go...

It’s so close out there and it’s not even mid afternoon yet when I really start to feel it.

i’m in my home office, legitimately sat in my pants because I’ve stopped caring and I am melting.

please give a me a storm.

Not feeling too confident about getting anything here but I am hopeful. BBC has storms this evening, all day tomorrow. MetO has nothing of the sort, Heathrow/Northolt both reckon chance of storms tonight.

We'll see!!

Fully expect storms to develop shortly as convection has really began to kick off here with towering cumulus.

According to Tomas Schafemaker on 1.30pm weather I could be in with a chance, there's a large black cloud formed over my area, I can't see if it's towering, currently 29.2c

A quick run down, whilst looking at the 3 Hi-Res models of the Netweather NMM, EURO4 & AROME, as can be seen initiation on the NMM & EURO4 take place at 3pm. NMM at 4pm.

NMM & AROME are focusing its storm initiation over Lincolnshire. Whereas the EURO4 further northwards towards Hull. We could expect storms within the next hour!
