Lightning and thunder over Warminster now and a really horrendous monsoon that developed very quickly. Hope you're happy Tom!

There should be many storms around the UK area as a result of Hurricane Chris. Things are looking promising for today, Monday and almost definitely Tuesday. Fingers crossed for thunder!

Hearing lots of thunder. Sun's out. No wind. Lovely jubbly.

Well, we’ve just had almost an hour and a half’s worth of proper thundery rain! And the gardens and fields are most grateful for it as well. :)

But sadly no thunder. :(

But hey... Although today looks like being a total bust for me, there looks to be a few more chances next week... Finger crossed anyway.

Still no thunder for my neck of the woods, there hasn't been any since May 2017, and it looks like the most thunderless year ever will continue here,

we had heavy rain yesterday though, even it looked thundery , it didnt, of course

26°C here and very humid. I see potential on the radar unless the storm shield has been activated.

2018 will be very high on the list of years with little/no storms in my area. Almost the end of July and literally only one storm recorded (and I wasn't even at home!) Appalling, it just gets worse year on year.....

I know what you mean , I just dont get it , there seems no explanation, Continental Europe still get their qouta , even some places in the uk still get storms, but somethings fundamentally changed , a very hot spell like this with consecutive days near 30c would have guaranteed a few thunderstorms here a decade or two ago , but not any more ,

I always endured working in the heat knowing I will likely be rewarded with a storm or two,  does not work like that now

anyway moaning over from me  , there is nothing you can do about it

Looking out towards Macclesfield and the skies are darkening rapidly but I had a hunch there'd be a few showers around this evening as the sun finally broke through the clouds at around 1pm. Since then the atmosphere has felt ladened with humidity and it looks like there's just another 30 mins or so to see what the thundery shower-line brings for me here.

We may get some more rain later as the decaying showers and storms approach us. Pity the sun didn't come out earlier as they would have had some fuel to work with.

I can hear thunder. It's looking quite evil out.

Heavy rain with some green-tinge to the clouds ahead of the line, but heard just the one rumble here for now. At least the garden is getting watered again.
