Thunderstorm days are virtually booger all here, maybe 2-3 this year, and no actual thunderstorm as such since September 2016.

Same here of course, a truly dreadful storm season, i thought last year was bad but this year has reached a new low!

So far i've recorded a mere 2 thunder days, with no overhead thunderstorms at all.

The last overhead storm to hit here was way back on July 20th 2016. I did witness the Sep 13th 2016 storm but that moved north over the Peak District so wasn't technically overhead here.

worst year for thunder ever,  one thunder day here so far in 2018, a new all time low count,

its been building up to this a while,  with the thunder counts getting ever lower every year,

next year 0 thunder days , would not bet against it

ridiculous that such a hot summer should produce zero storms here... heard thunder a couple of times, but that doesnt = a storm.

I'd love to see one in the western dry states (is arizona west?).  It's been a long time since I witnessed a rain'less' thunderstorm.  It's been a long time since I witnessed a thunderstorm in fact

Indeed it is would expect some elevated  storms with good lightning  which are very dramatic around the canyon rim

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
