Nooooooooo. If the forecast is anywhere near correct for the next 24 hours I'll be feeling like Dr, Foster.... anyone remember? He went to Gloucester, in a shower of rain. He stepped in a puddle, right up to his middle and never went there again.

Reached 10.8°C after the rain cleared, by which point it was dark.

@CheesepuffScott Plenty more muck to come after tomorrow too if it takes your fancy...

Ended up with 22.2mm here. It all came to a sudden halt, including the wind, which has been zero mph since 5:30pm. Quite an interesting day!

18.5mm here to just after 15.00, wind dropped away too.  About as miserable as a day can get, good job it's November and not August!

As much as I like a good Atlantic low.. no to 3 months of it.. if we have to have a mild winter then a sprinkle of frost at least here and there as well.. it may feel like a rural myth but decent cold and freezing weather is said to ward off certain bugs and things.. for those with animals especially. Plus less of that flipping mud.

By 'eck it's mild out there this morning Temp: 12.4 °C...Dew Point: 11.9 °C, wet yest but mild, a few more mm's takes the daily total up to 25mm and radar suggests we might be in for a few hours of clear weather.

Sounds like:

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because an Atlantic low is softly creeping
Left its rain while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of raindrops

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of icy stone
'Neath the halo of a foggy streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of lightning
That split the night
And touched the sound of thunder

Morning, not too bad here at the mo, very mild, the wind's picking up but currently dry. Not expecting it to stay that way for long though if the forecast is anywhere near correct.

Ditto!  I've had it going round whilst I've braved the wind and rain shopping.  It is a very clever version.
