It's a tough call! As the storm moves out of France and towards the UK, I would expect it to curve to the west, but there are other factors at play for tonight's storms, what's coming up from France is not the main focus for tonight.

Hopefully Estofex will have a forecast out at some point, and also one from Net weather.

I'm keeping an eye on some clouds to my south, could this be the start?

As Cas is forming over the channel, look for destabilisation in the mid channel in the next two hours, I don’t the large storm currently in north central France something to focus on currently.

Right on queue the atmosphere just of Poole bay is starting to destabilise, I expect the first lightning strikes to be within 20miles of bournemout within an hour!

Very sticky and muggy here in Somerset , but lots of milky skies and we've had lovely sunshine. Breezy now .

Lighting detected on the south coast as said above but look at that over France, it’s massive, as much as I love storms I don’t fancy a direct hit from that!!!

I'm in Westbury at the moment, some perfect towers growing over Salisbury Plain (the only clouds visible anywhere) so I would expect some cells to pop up over Wiltshire soon.

Reminds me of when I lived in Queensland, having a cold beer barefoot, warm patio stones and storm rumbling out to sea. Radar in N.France looks epic.

i don't know what's going on with the Storm over Sidmouth but it sounds like an artillery barrage.

Looks like Exeter is getting a bashing too !  But that band is moving West I believe . I see the met office has changed the rain symbols again for my area so I think we will be dry .
