Morning All, a great early morning for star gazing the crud in the air has cleared away and the atmosphere is really clear after overnight rainfall around midnight. Unfortunately my broadband is down so I cant give you any readings, although a local station suggests 8.8C.

Hello All!

had a fantastic though short lived storm here in Wells earlier, torrential rain and hail and one clap of thunder. I thought it was going to be dry today too!

Rumour has it the MAD thread is springing into life, dare I take a look?!

Sounds like Vesuvius....

Mind you it is mid November so almost out of Autumn, I can hear the gasps as people stop holding their breath..:whistling:

Yesterday was beautiful down in Salcombe, a real mixed bag with something for everyone. Photo taken early afternoon yesterday.

Had a short lived thunderstorm around 7pm too, not right overhead but near enough for a couple of loudish booms. Livened up the kids a bit just as we were getting them ready for bed lol.

It was sunny until just now but it’s clouded over at the moment with a bit of light rain falling. 13.2°C

A comment from a poster.

Well this model output at the moment should come with a government health warning. As my parents used to say to me. If something is too true to be believed then it probably is.

Gutted, John Wilson has died RIP

fishing legend, I used to spend endless hours watching his shows and copying his techniques.

So that light rain came to nothing and the rest of the afternoon was brighter with sunny spells. Reached 14.2°C.

We did too, as young lads. That is sad.

Agree with the above comments re John Wilson, very sad news indeed, the fact that I still fish regularly today is without question due to him and like minded anglers, big loss to fishing, massive loss to his family and close friends.

Well that's some beautiful charts on the 12z GFS...

No chart available for the selected hour. Many charts start at 3 hours ahead, so if you have 0 hours selected try stepping forward or selecting a later hour.

Mouthwatering charts... Hope they verify. At least its not at day 16! Still in FI but maybe just maybe, and then we could beat 2010?

We can only hope, looks like it'll be cold either way next week, but to what extent is the question!

Yes then after next week there appears to be plenty of cold options going forward. Could be a very interesting early season coming up.

I think it was one of the most extreme out of the pack but good nevertheless
