Urban reef webcam shows the sea coming up to the promenade at a Bournemouth Pier! That’s takes some doing!

I thought the strongest winds had gone but it's picked up again in the last few minutes. The rain isn't as heavy at the moment though.

Now it looks like a squall line to the east of me, yet it didn't pass over me. Some sort of weakening and rebuilding of the rainband as it passes across I think.

Hopefully convective interest tomorrow!

Suddenly calmed right down here as well, the winds stopped howling and it's stopped raining. Looks like a bit more rain to come before it clears away.

Bit of a wet blowy night alright. But certainly didn't need any warning for anything out of the ordinary here.  Yes, leaves and small branches down, bit of surface water - all in all average autumn depression

The temperatures rising at the moment, currently it's a very mild 12.6°C.

Looks like a more organised squall line now to the west of here.

7.6mm in 20 minutes from that.

So it wasn't finished there, 10.8mm now in 45 minutes giving a total of 20.2mm tonight.

Morning All the calm after the storm as the sun fights it’s way through the cloud, currently 8.2 °C with just a light breeze. Time to survey the garden to inspect for damage. Certainly brought on a last leaf fall session. Total rainfall just over 27mm.

Morning all, storm all gone now but it's very soggy out there. Hoping we escape the showers today, heavy rain and concrete mixing/laying not a good mix.

Did get quite windy here from 9pm to midnight and then dropped off. SSW 25-30mph with a lot of 35-40mph gusts and a handful of gusts hitting 45mph.
Notice this morning, some neighbours fences down and another neighbours trampoline is upside down at the other end of their garden they normally have it.
We had 14.2mm of rain from 6pm to midnight with the heaviest spell around 6pm. From midnight to 7am 2.6mm

12.9c at 1am. Been dry for last few hours, blue sky is out, winds very light SSE, 995.1 hPa, 11.4c

Just driven to youngest sons Training and there’s limbs everywhere and some road surfaces aren’t visible because of the leaves that fell overnight.

But it’s pretty mild and there’s ample Vitamin D to be had ☀️
