Been dry here for a couple of hours, plenty of blue sky, wind is still Southerly 20mph, with gusts up to 30mph.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me there are a lot of CBs embedded within the batches of downpours. Anvils are clearly visible in most directions.

Getting very lucky so far while working in Westbury with only brief heavy showers at the edge of the main areas.

4.2mm from the overnight rain, less windy than it was overnight but still breezy and the sky looks threatening. Seems the showers are passing to the west at the moment.

Morning, I can add downpours to the D's now. Deep joy.

13.8mm to 09.00 and 17.6mm from then to 11.00.  Still more to come, but not so intense.  Roads flooded because of blocked drains, roads and paths in Sherborne running like rivers.

Just north of Winchester at the moment and there’s been frequent heavy showers since I’ve been here and the roads are already flooding in places.

Not much rain fell at all here today, just a few showers of 1mm.
Winds dropped just after 1pm to 10-15mph.
Its been very grey and overcast this afternoon with the odd glimpse of sunshine.

Friday afternoon and evening forecast is looking poor with very heavy rain and winds of 45-55mph

Only 1.6mm added to the 4.2mm I saw this morning so must’ve missed most of the showers here. I certainly didn’t where I was although it dried up a bit after lunchtime.

Almost forgot.. anyone see the news about the fire on Rempstone heath?

I had no idea there was a fire, but  just before I was heading to bed, I checked my cam and saw a ghostly image, so I took a snap;-

Heard about that on the radio this morning and just seen the images on the news. Must've been quite a big fire to have that light in the sky. I guess the wind last night won't have helped even if it did rain.

Oh I see you can edit your posts whenever you like now... and mine.  :help:

Wow. Still early November and the MAD thread has blown up into arguments, good looking charts and people totally ignoring forum team members! Weird how quickly the summer season has gone this year...

It's gonna be a long winter, hopefully. Cheers

Here we go a nice rainbow from yest and beefy showers. Wasn’t expecting that weather yesterday ( busy working) ..so when took Ned out for his early morning ride was abit taken aback by his “fresh attitude” ... fairies and dragons move about in hedges in the wind and rain..

The MAD winter series 2018 has begun then? Am supporting the blue cold team.  Is there a match wall planner I can download and plot progress for the SSW?

I've no idea why a bloke who claims that he doesn't use the models, is bothering to post in the model output discussion.

Guess, guess, guess... Pointless.

Morning, dry start to the day here and chillier than the last few days. Still breezy and looking at the clouds, it won't be long before another heavy shower arrives. Thankfully not quite so dark.

BBC breakfast weather says there will be isolated showers in my area this morning. I loom oh of the window and it's chucking it down.

Loads more in radar.

Didn't they check the radar themselves?

Supposed to be doing gardeningwork this am. Had to cancel yesterday!
