I can't believe how big they are, the photo doesn't do it justice. The two big cakes at the front have a kilo of gunpowder each lol

That looks good!

Actually fireworks were one of my two favourite things as a kid, the other being thunderstorms.

Still like fireworks now but I get more occupied by the other stuff the weather can bring rather then just thunder and lightning.

Morning, it's a D day here, dull, damp, dreary and dank. It's the kind of Monday morning when you look out the window and want to go back to bed. Has all the promise of not clearing or getting properly light here today. It's precisely this kind of autumn weather that makes me long for snow, a thick white carpet to make everything so much lighter.

Yes it’s dull and dreary here with no sign of any brightness and a mild 15.8°C.

Phew, it's warm. I've been tidying the garden up ready for tonight's fireworks. It hit 16.1°C at lunchtime There's been some good brightness, and a few sunny spells too.

Well I checked and the town fireworks night has been held, so I think Wareham folks are going to be lucky and have a second great show. What time should I aim to come over?

I have never seen fireworks quite like that! I watched videos before I bought them, but they don't give a good perspective of what you actually get. They are pretty much semi-professional, the noise and explosions were unbelievable, it was like a war! I have a huge cleaning up job to do tomorrow. lol

My dear ol' dad would've absolutely loved it!

Oh yeah, it got really foggy here, combined with the smoke, I couldn't see very well at times.

Just leave it for tomorrow nights wind and rain.

I bet it was worth the upcoming clean up job.

Surprisingly it's clear here considering how many fireworks were going off, the temperatures actually rising here very slowly. 11.4°C

So fed up with people telling me what I can and can’t do, fireworks should be banned, it upsets my dog, the poppy offends me, don’t call me male or female I’m a door handle, on Facebook, I’ve decided to take a break and deactivated my account.

So sorry, you’ll have to put up with me a lot more on here now.

lets hope the weather gives us some fun over the next few weeks

There seem to be some stark sun/dull differences around today.

It's gone from dull to warm sun here in the last hour with a brisk Southerly wind, approaching 16c now.

Can't help but wonder how hot it would have been in summer.

Morning All, a damp, overcast start to the day as all the heat form the evenings explosives warmed the air (as Matt noted too!). Currently 12.5 °C with RH 94%.

Found a firework on our garden table this morning, was that one of yours being picked up the southerly wind lol!

Feeling warm and almost springlike here if not for the weak sun. Really is looking very unsettled from tomorrow onwards. If it has to be, something November 2009esque would be nice from a convective point of view - I registered five days with thunder, 3 of which were in the first week. Much more exciting than just fronts of rain.
