Love it, in particular this line....

Thank you. It does seem that as the swallows leave, we interlopers return. Never too sure if the stalwarts are happy that the thread gets busier, or sigh and gnash their teeth that silly season isn't far away.

It's been a beautiful day here, clear blue sky and feeling warm in the sun. Getting a head start on the veg garden autumn digging whilst the weather holds, makes a really nice change to not be trying to turn over sodden, boggy ground. Surprisingly, given the summer we had, the autumn colours around here are rather muted, I expected a good show this year as the sun promotes sugar production which in turn creates stronger, bolder autumn colour. Hopefully it will develop with time if the leaves stay on long enough.

Wall to wall sunshine and a max of 20.3°C.  Is it really October in less than a week?

Morning All, a misty autumnal start to the day, which is now beginning to lift as the sun begins to warm things slowly, giving us wall to wall blue skies. Overnight low of 5.0 °C with RH94%.

22.7°C on the Davis, 22.6°C on the WeatherFlow.

Yes very summer like and will probably be the last day we feel the sun's warmth until next Spring.

After a cool, foggy morning it has turned out to be another warm and sunny afternoon. Up to 22C. Making the most of it.

Today especially has felt more like early summer than early autumn. As much as I like winter, especially if it snows, I still miss days like today.

Two absolute stunners today and yesterday, and Monday/Tuesday were very good too! Sadly I spent yesterday at a conference in London but stepping out of the venue certainly felt like late spring warmth rather than autumn. Only tell-tale signs being the low angle of the sun by 5pm and emerging colours. If only more autumns could have more days like this.

Where was that @CheesepuffScott ?

It looks familiar.

On the footbridge over the Avon near St Mary's Church in Hale Park, think it's on the Avon Valley trail.

Lovely spot.

Much clearer up North this morning on Sat24.com. Hopefully heading our way.

Cloudy start but has since cleared to sunny spells and well broken cloud. Much cooler though!

We had some pointless drizzle this morning but again I am playing outside with my boy under a virtually cloudless afternoon sky! 16.1c as opposed to 21+c with a fresh breeze.

Very pleasant in Frome  this afternoon, fire might be lit later on to take chill off the room.
