So Summer came, we had a blast

Hot day after day, but it's fading fast

Not sure I'm ready to say 'Goodbye'

To summer warmth, sun high in the sky

There's a bit of a nip in the air just now

Summer has gone, it's taken a bow

Autumn's come, not slowly drifted in

Pushed summer aside, come making a din

The wind and the rain, rattling through

Reminding us all, trees and fences he'll slew

Oh please be gentle, be kind, be mellow

Leaves of gold and conkers, you can be a fabulous fellow

I want time to savour the slow fading

Of roses and trees, remember their shading

When I hid from the heat of the summer just past

What a wonder it was, we had a blast

There's a time and a place for all in life

Weather's no different, but I expect strife

When I make a plea, don't pray for snow

Let autumn play, don't skip it or let it go

There's beauty a plenty and joy to be had

Don't wish it away, winter can wait a tad

You regulars sigh, must fill you with dread

When we migrants descend, invade this thread

But remember the joy of the first summer swallow

We're the opposite end as we drift in to follow

Every model and forecast, hoping for snow

But for me, for now, I don't want summer to go

Absolutely love that Jethro! The quoted line stands out most for me from the amazing summer, we had to use our minimal garden shade near enough every day of June and July then some of August!

A cool start today after an overnight low of 5.9°C but a pleasant, sunny day with a high of 16.7°C.

Morning all, a low of 4C this morning, starts the day, with blue skies and plenty of sunshine, classic autumn day.

First sub zero of the season here...-0.5C. Can't decide whether to put heating on when the temps recover so well in the day!

Not the cold temps here some of you got in our region.
Got down to 8.6c here at 6am after being 10c at midnight. Yesterday max temp was just 16.4c mid afternoon.
Now sunny blue skies, 11.4c, 1038 hpa, very light NE wind.

A low of 2.1°C here. Started off sunny, but now it has clouded over, again. Forecast has changed too. Friday onwards is a cloud fest.

Seems it was a warm night here in comparison with a low of 5.6°C. Mostly sunny so far today but with a bit more cloud around now. 16.3°C

From a low of 2.6°C, it rose to the dizzy heights of 18,6°C this afternoon.  One of those days where it was warmer out than in.  Wind has been all over the place, but a noticeably warmer direction late morning and this afternoon.

Disappointing again today. Blue skies at first, then complete cloud over in the afternoon, then it clears when it gets dark - exactly the same as yesterday.

Morning All, chilly but warmer than yesterday with an overnight low of  4.9 °C (currently), fortunately the office heating isn't blaring this morning @ 25C, a temperate 22C.. clear skies start the day as the moon sets in the west..

Gorgeous day out there today, the sun is still plenty strong enough to feel very warm out there, bit cooler in the shade but I'm back to wearing shorts out, won't be doing that after tomorrow though by the looks of it.
