Well we just got another 1.3mm from a thundershower so hopefully it will start to turn green as more showers pass through.

Really quite windy here now. Out of the wind it probably wouldn’t feel too bad if we hadn’t just had a lengthen warm/hot spell. As it is it feels rather cool. 18.6°C

What a difference a day makes, this time yesterday I was sitting at 30°C and watching a thunderstorm rolling in.

Stark contrast today with a high of just 22°C and a strong SW'ly breeze.

I see tomorrows rain is already making inroads now on the radar. Really has been a while we've seen a substantial front moving in from the Atlantic!

Your location will be! Even so, I think most of us will be 'not used' to this blip after this summer so far!

Mapantz, Dorset Bred ; does Poole have any rain shadow effect in situations like tomorrow? Just trying to see if it could be merely drizzly rather than heavy rain!?

No idea about Poole but here (8 miles away) these set-up's always deliver.

Most models going for circa 20mm around here.

Very, very heavy rain with gusty winds just passed through now. Been a day of sunshine and heavy showers throughout, the gardens will be reasonably pleased although our poor old single sunflower has been blown all over the place!

Should be fun at 5aside footy on the astro turf pitch in the morning too

Really enjoy this type of weather. Blustery, a few showers passing through the day, and max temp of 21C. Feels really autumnal, but in my opinion more usable weather than the past week as it was too hot to enjoy!  Will see how much rain tomorrow brings.

Back home and we're catching the first of the line of showers from the South West.

Pretty heavy so far and nice to hear,  but the bulk of it will slide further North. ?️
