Clear skies here today with a high of bang on 30°C at 1:35pm (makes that 12 days with +30°C now), however a cooler southerly has been in charge since around 3pm, bringing the temperature back down to 28°C.

Oddly not feeling as muggy as yesterday, but welcomed.

28.9°C here this afternoon, humidity around the 50% mark.  Looking forward to the predicted slightly cooler weather later in the week.

Ian Fergusson mentioned a cold front and showers on Friday. If that happens it will be the 3rd consecutive Friday with rain!

A max of 27.0C yesterday, though a fairly breezy sea breeze kept it at 24-25C most of the afternoon.

Unexpectedly overcast and humid this morning, even though it all broke up slightly east of here. A brief max of 26.4C at 3:20pm in a sunny interval, but about 23C after that with a sea breeze in more continuous sunshine.
Min was 16.3C.

A low of 10.8C last night so the house is a pretty comfortable temperature. Currently sunny and 21.9C.

I wonder if Bournemouth Airport saw a high temperature reading yesterday?

Ironically the 'hottest week of the year' is bringing the least hot conditions. Still too much cloud around for my liking. Very pleasant but certainly not hot.

Roll on the next hot spell, looking like next week!

You should try being on the coast. Hasn’t been close to what I’d call hot much at all this summer. Just been inland for the first time in a while and it certainly feels hot there.

At the Eastern extremity of the frontal set up here with Cumulus running SW to NE making for a more pleasant breezy with sunny spells, rather than intensely hot afternoon, still above 27c though!

Interesting video from the Met Office saying there's a 30% chance of a record July temp, but thunderstorms might scupper that chance due to large amounts of cloud. Also, the heat building in the SE is not a plume per se.. they use charts showing 'backward trajectories' and the source of Friday's heat is from Germany.

Forecasts had us for 29c today.
Got to 26.5c at 4pm, but dropped to 25.6c now.
It did not feel so hot today, felt a light breeze. Wind for the first time in quite a while has been Southerly than our recent Westerly direction.
Wind was been fairly light today, but has picked up to 10-12mph last hour with some 16mph gusts.

Blue skies all day, but another windy day to boot. Temp did manage 26.2°C briefly, but dropped back to the 24's for most of the day.

It actually feels quite cool in the shade here, seems the sea breeze is taking longer to drop than it usually does. Reached 22.9°C this morning but it’s been hovering around 21°C since then.

Morning All, after an overnight low 15.2°C at: 05:46 of  we are up and running again, blue skies (early cloud has burnt off) and slightly warmer than yesterday morning. The view out over the channel is clear today, Ol Harry standing proud in the early morning sunhsine, and the purbecks looking the same colour as my desk (brown)..This reminds me of my time spent on the Highveld in SA summer, wake up, blue skies, heat (difference being then it would rain in the late afternoon and everything was green (NOT BROWN))..
