Well there are a few drops of rain here now but they only lasted for a few seconds.

We certainly are! Still pouring now but thundery activity ceased after 15 minutes.

Will be eager to check my gauge once it stops!

Temperature dropped over 8c in the first half hour of rain !!

Stopped in Trowbridge now but really intense rain for 20 mins, no thunder though. Smells very fresh out now and sun reappearing to the south and west.

It looks like it's spreading South slightly on the radar.

We've lost the Sun.

Bath's valley shower shield is working today, only had a brief spell of moderate rain at about 11:30 and all the heavy stuff this afternoon has split and gone round us or formed just after passing over.

Absolutely glorious morning and warming quickly after a misty, cool start, although it is wet underfoot after yesterday's deluge!

Remarkable to think we had not far off a months worth in a few hours!

People locally (who live at the bottom of a few hilly roads! Imagine the run off there) blaming flash floods on the council not clearing drains etc! The clearest drains on the planet wouldn't have coped!

Poor forecasting once again, and that was at 3am. A lot of cloud around this morning. Temp not particularly impressive either.

Lot of cloud around Trowbridge, not the wall to wall sunshine I was hoping for. Temps holding up at 23.4 but sun is intermittent.
